GO GREEN RANGER CAMP (HORNBILL CAMP 2017)

OBJECTIVES
|
-To teach students about environmental and wildlife
conservation concepts and issues in a natural setting.
-To increase students’ natural attraction to wildlife
and love the Nature.
-To increase students’ understanding about the
complex balance of interactions that occurs between all lives in a natural
setting.

35 Students aged between 13 – 15 (first priority to DLP students)

5 Teachers ( 2 English teachers and 3 Science teachers)

APPROACH
|
Ø
Compulsory for DLP class (1
UKM) and high potential students from 3 UKM and 3 UPM.
Ø
Followed by 2 English
teachers and 3 Science teachers.
Ø
Modules were given fully in
English and teachers need to guide students on how to use the modules.

REFLECTION
|
At the end of the 3
days – 2 nights camp, the students discuss what they can do to help the
environment, when they go back to school and community.
This
is one of the efforts of encouraging students and teachers to communicate
using English and create English speaking environment out of school.
